Secrets & passwords
Passwords for your own systems are encrypted at rest, used only by the server, and never shown to an AI model or written to a log.
When you connect a database for a scheduled job, you give Countdat a password. Here is everything that happens to it.
| Where | What happens |
|---|---|
| At rest | Encrypted. |
| In use | Used only by the server, to open the read-only connection. |
| AI models | Never shown to one. |
| Logs | Never written to one. |
#Where your data lives
Each counter has its own database schema on Countdat's servers.
#Need no password at all?
A probe reads fixed, signed health checks with no database login. Probes are in pilot.
