The tap screen

Every counter has a tap screen - one big button that works on any phone. Send the link; whoever has it can tap.

The tap screen is the fastest way to add a row. It's one big button, sized for a thumb, and it works in the browser on any phone - nothing to install.

#Open and share it

  1. Open the counter and find its tap link.
  2. Choose who may tap - anyone with the link, or members you invite. See Who can tap.
  3. Send the link in a message, an email, or put it in a QR code by the coffee machine.

Anyone who opens one of the counter's answers without the tap link sees how it's shared, and who to ask:

Bar reading: LINK. demo shares this with a link. You need that link to tap - whoever sent you here can send it.

#What a tap records

Each tap adds one row to the counter, with the time and where it came from. If the counter's owner set it up to record who tapped, people are asked before anything about them is recorded - and asked again if what's recorded changes.

#Tapped by mistake?

Nothing in Countdat is erased. Undoing a tap voids the row - it's marked, kept in the record, and left out of answers. See A record of every change.

Tip: add the tap link to your phone's home screen so it opens like an app.
