Talk or type a sentence
Say or type what happened - "two lattes and a flat white" - and Countdat turns it into rows.
Sometimes a tap isn't enough and a form is too much. Say or type a sentence instead, and Countdat turns it into rows for the counter.
#How it works
- Open the counter. Choose to talk or type.
- Say what happened. "Two lattes and a flat white." On a phone, tap the microphone and speak; on a computer, type.
- Check the rows. Countdat shows the rows it understood - here, three: latte, latte, flat white.
- Confirm. The rows are added, each marked as coming from a sentence.
#Examples
| You say | Rows |
|---|---|
| "two lattes and a flat white" | 3 rows - latte, latte, flat white |
| "a parcel for Priya from the courier" | 1 row - recipient Priya, carrier courier |
| "three visitors for Sam" | 3 rows - each with host Sam |
The sentence is matched to the counter's own fields. If you mention something the counter doesn't record, it's left out - add a field to the counter if you need it.
Tip: voice works best in a quiet spot. If a word comes out wrong, fix it in the rows before you confirm.
